As the product moves past the drop on demand (DOD) printhead, a variety of solenoid valves open and close to allow the ink to be expelled, ‘dropped on demand’, into the correct formation of dots forming words or numbers as required. The printhead contains several solenoid valves – usually 7, 16 or 32, which can code onto a range of products including secondary packaging, cardboard and timber. With large character print heights and multiple options for ink type these versatile and durable DOD printers could be the solution to your printing needs.
