Inkjet Printing

Non contact inkjet printing is useful as useby dates and batch numbering for traceability. These are suitable on most surfaces such as glass bottles, plastic tubs and eggs. Multiple ink options are available including low odor, food grade, wet bottle ink, fast drying and UV ink for anti-counterfeit or in pharmaceutical industries

There are a number of technologies used for inkjet printing.  Commonly CIJ (Continuous Ink Jet) is used for smaller printing up to 8mm and is also suitable for high speed production lines.

Newer technology using HP cartridges called TIJ (Thermal Ink Jet) gives clearer codes and due to the recent ink formulations and head technology is now able to adhere not only to porous surfaces but also non-porous.  This technology reduces the need for ongoing maintenance and solvents.

Another recent option Piezo Electric Printing, this technology is cost effective solution to replace any print and apply labeler for outer cartons as well as a great solution for large character resolution printing.

Older technology is known as DOD (Drop on demand) suitable for cartons or large bags.
